This new workshop combines two of our favorite things, pretty flowers & watercolor painting. Have you ever wanted to create your own watercolor painting, but didn't know where to begin? This workshop will teach useful watercolor techniques as you make a 9x12 floral monogram with Natalie, one of our floral designers who is also a gifted artist.

You’ll learn and practice watercolor techniques and color mixing, then create a large painting with your first or last initial adorned with blooms. We’ll have flowers placed around the tables to provide inspiration and visuals to help when painting blooms. Each person will then get to take home a couple of those flowers along with their 9x12 monogram painting. All materials and instruction included. No experience necessary! Natalie will teach you everything you need to know.

Meet your instructor: Natalie is originally from El Salvador, but has lived in the Richmond area for several years. She has an MFA in Illustration from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and a BA in Fine Art from the University of the Ozarks. She started off specializing in drawing people and fashion, but has expanded into painting nature and has even dipped her toe in mural work.

Hardywood Richmond has a wide variety of beverages and food including beer, wine, cider, cocktails, non-alcoholic options, wood-fired pizza, pretzel bites, and more! This class typically lasts about 2 hours. Grab a drink and a bite to eat when you arrive and head over to the Gallery Bar to join us!

We'll meet you at Hardywood Richmond, 2410 Ownby Ln, Richmond, VA 23220.
